The Breakdown is where we explore the early days of Dance Music. The show is split into two 1 hour features

Part I is between 7 and 8pm, and is an hour of Breakdancing, perfect for B-Boy & B-Girl parties or just to clear a space on the floor and act a goof. You'll hear classics from Eric B & Rakim, Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Flash, Malcolm McLaren and more.

Part II sees us go back further between 8 and 9pm, as we slide onto the coloured dancefloor during the late 70's where Disco music reigned king. You'll hear some great platform classics by Chic, Jackson 5, KC & the Sunshine Band, Commodores, Donna Summer, Earth Wind & Fire and more.

The whole idea behind having a 'Part 1' and 'Part 2' is a hommage to dance releases, that were often released in 'parts' that could (in theory) be played in a row as a non-stop mix, as well as giving the artist the opportunity to continue telling a story, through dance.

Our 'Breakdown' story revolves around the early days of dance, which is why we showcase disco, and breakdance.
